Photos from a random mind

I've been driving in my car...

...it's not quite a Jaguar.

Actually, I've not been driving in my car. I've probably not been behind the wheel of a car since I left for uni in 2002, I then began having problems with consciousness and had to stop learning. However, come October (or sooner depending how the chat with the GP goes) I'll have not had a serious blackout for a year and will be allowed back on the roads.

This is my provisional driving lisence. It's not very interesting by the time all the personal data has been blanked out but it's been the focus for today so it's the photo I'm using. (even though I had a great antigravity snake shot).

Today I realised two things, my provisional was only valid for 10 years which means come the start of March, if I've not passed my test I have to pay £20 to renew it. The second was that I need a full UK driving lisence to drive a snowmobile on our holiday. Yes, it'll be great fun clinging to The Boy but it'd be more fun to get a shot in the driving seat myself.

So, the big question is, can I get in enough driving, without having to pay for too many lessons (holiday has put spending on hold) in a few months to be able to have passed my test by the end of January (and I need to retake my theory as it was only valid for two years). Needless to say I'll be ordering a copy of a pass your thoery test book and swatting up on that in the time before I can get back on the road!

[edit] Oooh look, a year ago today I was being winched in to a rescue helicopter, how fun!
