leaves after rain
I took a walk through Forge Valley, near Scarborough, today as the sunshine was coming and going as clouds passed over, and then a mighty shower fell!.
Actually it was really pleasant, the sight and sound of the raindrops on the foliage and stream, while I was in the shelter of a large tree. But I stupidly moved to under another tree, which gave much less shelter. I laughed at my move and increasing wetness...
The reward was a series of 'still lives' of the glistening wet leaves(which I've posted to Flickr)
This is my favourite image. I liked the tones and composition. Little has been done to the image straight from the camera, just some levels, a little sharpen, and some vignetting.
This was shot with my new Lumix G1. The micro 4/3rd format cameras are capable of great image quality. I think of my G1 and GF1 as 'super-compacts'.
