The beginning

Just like any good entrepreneur, in the absence of a detailed business strategy and financial plan, I am selling everything I own to cover my first mortgage payment!

Okay it's slightly less extreme than that, but I am trying to haul some change together which means my usual donation of old clothes etc to the charity shop is being replaced by a more self-serving trip to the car boot sale this Sunday.

Got off to a good start on home turf though, by selling some bedside cabinets on Gumtree. Got three offers within a day of putting the ad up, so clearly I priced it too cheap! Never mind, 'a bird in the hand' and all that.

I also have a charming DVD storage unit going for a steal if anyone's interested (-:

I often make fun of my Dad for being a bit of a Del Boy character (he is a total wheeler-dealer) but I think I might be turning into him myself!
