The Bug

Years ago I used to watch a designer called Wayne Hemmingway on The Big Breakfast Show, an early morning TV programme. Talking about design in general, he used to be very entertaining. I still like him.

A few years later I had to choose a digital radio as a Christmas present for my wife. I chose The Bug, pictured here, because it was designed by Wayne.

My wife hated it!

So you decide - is it a design classic or a car boot non-seller? Vote "icon" or "junk".

I believe it will be an icon for its time. Pity I threw away the box it came in!
