Remember when......

You used to say Rad all the time?
Your brother had a mullet down to his shoulders?
You starred in your own series of homemade commercials?
You would kneeboard behind the boat for hours?
You wore braces and called your brother a Geek?
You were first introduced to 'trick candles' on your birthday cake?
Your parents threw you birthday parties every year...and still do.
You camped every single summer with your family?
You squinted all the time because you never had your sunglasses?
You were kind of intimidated of your brothers friends?
You were a cute little kid with one word answers during video camera interviews?

An evening full of old home movies. Seeing videos of my sweet husband as a 5th grader. A middle schooler. A high schooler. Laughing so hard with my in-laws. Watching my husband and his parents reminisce about the old days. Watching movies of my husband as a little boy and seeing images of our young children in his face.

A delightful evening. A lot of laughing and poking fun at all the old styles. And the most important thing of all, watching how close this family was growing up and seeing how close they continue to be today.

Oh how I love old home movies......
