The day we lost loads of pictures :(

We took another tour today to a temple near Yojakarta to see views of the local volcano Merapi. Considering we have seen HUNDREDS of temples by this point, this one was particularly impressive. We were there at sunrise and the views from the top to the volcano were amazing - it was pretty misty which added to the already atmospheric feel of the buddhist temple. The buddahs were hidden in stone cases - the photos were brilliant, unfortunately they got wiped in the internet cafe later that day. Still hopeful they can be rescued!

Met a lovely girl from Holland on the bus who was travelling with her dad. Had a good old chat about London and the like. George and I almost missed breakfast as we got carried away walking around the temple and the grounds. Luckily there wasn't too much to miss - a boiled egg and some stale toast. Yummy!

Later that day we also visited some other temples which had been hit by an earthquake so were being repaired. We had to run from one building to another just to avoid the scorching heat!
