A Perfect Day, glad I spent it with you

I was up early for a wee jaunt up some wee hills, it was a clear morning with some rain. Felt pretty tired on the first steep climb, but felt great on the downhill and kept this going on the next uphill and ran out.

Back for breakfast with the family and then we headed west to the most westernly point of Scottish Mainland. A lovely day with the sea like a mill pond.

We had a look round the rocks, eco son did a bit of fishing, I got a shot a caught a wee coalfish, eco son did not catch any.

After our pack lunch we headed for a cake and tea, wonderful cakes and very reasonable price. The Ardnamurchan lighthouse is a community scheme to attract tourist, thumbs up from the eco family.

We walked an otter from the cafe and got chatting to a nice couple. The husband Alan offered to take the family out on his boat to catch some mackerel, a really kind offer.

Eco son and went up the lighthouse, wonderful view and a great construction. Ironically the granite to build this came from Mull close were we had stayed last week. Nice tour guide at the top and the wee isles looked stunning.

We travelled further up the coast to take up the fishing offer. What a lovely beach and Alan appeared with a wee boat to get to his bigger boat.

We all got in the boat as well as Juno and headed out, we found the mackerel and Eco daughter was first to catch one.

Eco son had brought his light weight spinning rod and when he had 3 mackerel on he really struggled to reel them in. We kept a handful and returned most of the ones we caught.

Back on the shore we gutted the fish, with Juno diving trying to get the guts, lovely.

Another wild swim without wetsuits for me and the kids, in a great location.

Alan thank you very much for everything, the kids had a superb time. Will drop off some homemade produce for you.

Happy family travelled back to base and watched the deer out of the window, a wee bambi one with white spots.

Juno went out for a pee before bed, saw the deer and took a fancy to them and bolted after them, managed to get her back before she disappeared into the dark.
