Thistle Down

By Ethel

So Am I

Even though...I am old,
A woman...a grandmother.
There is still life in me,
And I am something other.

For I was once a young girl,
I am made in that fashion.
When I was put together,
No parts did they ration.

They gave me desires,
That come in the heart.
Those dreams that require,
The real intricate part.

For I am a woman,
Time does put in change.
All forces of creation,
Come together...to re-arrange.

I am a young-girl, too,
With feelings to upward start.
The eagerness to live and get going,
Are forever in my heart.

For Family; This is "The Beautiful Elba Valley" that is about 5 miles away from the dugout. I wanted to get the big E on the mountainside for Ethel.
