Blood heat
After a final rehearsal, headed back to pick up my bag at C's flat before heading to the station and a train back to Brussels. The roadworks in the middle of Gent had reached fever pitch - I think they must be trying to complete some of them before the start of the Gentse Feesten.
One of the stores had an electronic temperature display - 37 degrees Celsius. Aargh! Cooled off for half-an-hour in C's then went and stood across the street to wait for the tram. This is the tiny street she lives in, Jeruzalemstraat - amazingly, cars do sometimes drive up it.
