expo 1 - chingola and lumwana

today we left kaniki on our first expedition, spending a few days in chingola and then driving into deep bush in lumwana.

the police at the road blocks had a field day because our car is without a number plate. it's not our fault, but just the normal lengthy zambian bureaucracy. in the photo above you can just spot dave trying to talk the police out of giving us a fine. it requires the greatest of patience. dave was defo the right man for the job.
