Reaching to the sky

Considering we were supposed to have rain today, it turned out to be a pretty good day! We're having a respite from the 90's for a couple of days - the high was only supposed to be in the mid eighties today, though that felt plenty hot enough when I was wandering around Pioneer Park this afternoon looking for a blip. These yellow flowers reaching up to the sky caught my eye. I had lunch out with ladies from my Monday morning bible study group. We don't meet for bible study over the summer, as there are always people away, but those of us that are in town generally meet up for lunch. Other than that, a pretty routine day.
