I wish I was ....

Some years ago I got a Birthday card to somebody "...without anenome in the world."

I wish I was without a Japanese Anenome in the garden.

No doubt they're a bonny flowers, but they tend to roam about a bit and are a tad resistant to shifting. They peep cheekily between the brick pavers, they smile out of the edge of the lawn, they mock at every turn.

I saw 2 tiny leaves above the soil, I grasped them, together, firmly and pulled gently. Behold the result.
The stuff is as bad as the stuff we call Twitch.
