Shattuck Cabin
Sharon and I brainstormed all day and got lots done. This week has been so great for unwinding and letting creative energy flow unhindered and uninterrupted secluded out here in the woods.
We've both been getting up early in the mornings for long runs down the gravel road and back. In the dawn light there are always deer grazing in the fields and the view of the lake is framed by the golden sheen of the meadows that ripple over the nearby farmland.
After working through so many ideas all day Sharon's parents Marsha and Trish came out from Petoskey for dinner. They are amazingly interesting and kind people and have such different perspectives on life it is refreshing. Before dinner Trish was showing me the "man shed". Handmade and full of character and nostalgia of the North woods lifestyle. Old saws, ice handles, caulking guns, muskrat traps, and other log cabin accoutrements were hanging from the wall.
I thought it might make an interesting picture.....
