Hole on the floor.

Our deck hangs about 3 meters from the stony ground and during construction we couldn't decide what kind of staircase to put so we left a hole on the floor and just covered it with a wooden plank. Last weekend, we had to replace the decaying wood and saw this piece that reminded me of the beginnings of a J. Pollock. I thought of putting the "heliconias" to add some color to it.
