The girls on the gate

Wonderful day :) We drove home from Cheshire via East Yorkshire (I know, it was quite a detour!) to visit my Aunt who I have not seen for almost a year. She's my Mam's big sister and fell very ill indeed within a few weeks of my Mam's passing last summer. Thankfully she recovered, and is much better now, but still unable to do very much at all. It was really great to see her again.

She lives in a beautiful little village near Beverley with her daughter and son-in-law and in the house next door are her grandaughter and her family: one husband and four beautiful little girls aged 7, 5, 3 and 9months. So today, with Grace and Ophelia, there were six little girls playing altogether. Great fun! We walked to the paddocks to see the girls' ponies, where the three older girls and Gracie (in a Minnie Mouse dress that she borrowed for the day...) perched themselves on the gate to the field. Seemed like a good photo opportunity! Got a week's worth of backblips to do, but far too tired this evening, so they will have to wait.
