Birthday Parcels

Today was the start of my birthday! If "the start" is a puzzling phrase to you, then I should explain that my birthdays usually last around a week, with all sorts of different celebrations on different days! Not sure how it happened like that, but that's the way it is, and I've never complained!

This was my birthday with my best friend, who is known as @scharwenka and blips here from time to time too. We had a fabulous day - he took me out for an "all you can eat" Chinese buffet, which was very fine, and then we went to buy goodies to have with tea (Banoffee Pie & Key Lime Pie).

After lunch he presented me with this pile of parcels (we always get each other lots of parcels - another tradition that has been going for around 15 years, but we can't remember how it began).

Some of the contents are edible goodies, some are drinkable and made from grapes, some can be listened to, some are useful for putting in my camera to supply power, and the star is a pair of "either day" airshow tickets for Fairford next weekend! Hurrah!

After a couple of hours nap on my friend's sofa I downed several cups of tea and a chunk of each Pie before heading home. It was a great day!
