Infinity

I'd never been inside the Marriott Marquis hotel here in Atlanta until today. Went with Shade and Drifter to a GI Joe Collector's convention there (I don't collect them, but it was interesting to see - there were things there I hadn't seen since my childhood, which was kind of cool).

Anyway, the Marriott is this plain, square, rather boring building on the outside, but on the inside - wow! Amazing.

Not sure what the thinking was, but a lot of the architecture from a certain era here is along those same lines - ugly box on the outside, spectacular on the inside. A shame, really. If they could've just put as much effort into the public sides of these buildings, this would be a much prettier city.
