Today, I nearly bid for a used (60,000 actuations) EOS 1Ds MkII on ebay as well as a "mint" F2.8L 70-200mm IS USM lens.

In the past, I've bought loads of perfect guitars, amps, printers off ebay. Flick does the bidding as she is an expert in the psychology of the auction, and we always never pay too much, and always collect. If the item is as described, we conclude the transaction.

Has anyone had any bad experiences buying "mint" lenses or used professional cameras off ebay?

Incidentally, I don't need the above items. But I really, really want them..
