so this was taken with the new camera, my canon eos 1000d. It appears to be all good so far, apart from the pop-up flash, which, on automatic mode, seems to pop-up in the brightest of daylight. It really is taking the word 'automatic' to the full, by taking the decision of whether I want the flash or not away from me. Bit annoying, but it works perfectly in its manual modes.
