Another frosty day
Winter has been like that, below zero temperatures and frosts every morning. I'm not complaining. I like it. Also beautiful colorful mornings most days. Funny that people complain about Timaru in the winter, saying that it's grey and depressing. I definitely don't think so. We've had really very few rainy or cloudy days. Sunrises and sunsets are amazing. For sunrises, go to Caroline Bay and see the sun rise behind the horizon. As for sunsets, the best place in my opinion, is Centennial park, right in the middle of town. Lovely views os the snow capped mountains. Whatelse can you have, sea on one side, snow capped mountains on the other? Yep, some people have no idea.
Anyway, the picture today is a view of where I have classes when we have theory days. This is what it looks like on a frosty morning. I did go skiing today and could have posted a pic of another snowy day, but I thought I'd change a bit. Lou, Mark and Andy (first year students) and Owen (my flatmate) had a great day in the mountains of Mt Dobson ski field. I tried my first real off piste, but snow was crusty and irregular, so things didn't go that well, with me falling face in the snow...:-) a funny fall really...so acknowledged my lack of skill and walked down to a place where I felt more comfy. It was all good from there...knee is feeling amazingly good! Yey!
After a great day, now back to boring paperwork...
