Alston, Cumbria

While there was a heat wave back home in Canterbury, we stopped in Alston where it was about 13 deg C and spitting with rain. We had lunch in a cafe where the lights had fused. It was bright enough to see the food, but to visit the loo you needed a miner's helmet!
