Inside Aldwych Underground Station

Over the past two weeks the surface part of Aldwych underground station has been open to the public as part of an exhibition showing how the London Underground is being upgraded (and some history about previous upgradings).

Aldwych is (was) part of the Piccadilly line, served by a branch from Holborn Underground station. It closed in 1994.

This picture is a sign directing passengers to the nearby Temple Underground station
