First Tennis Lesson
Today marked Day 2 of Camp Kidzone at the park. Three breakfasts were made, three lunches were packed, three beach towels were folded, three kids were slathered in sunblock & three kids (and a Nana) were dropped off. Then I rushed back south to take MeeMaw on her beauty and bank errands.
Ran home and tried to straighten up the storm that was my house before running back to Camp Kidzone to get the kiddos at 1 pm. Picked up 1 extra kiddo, Cody for some playtime at our house before tennis lessons. Cody's mom introduced us to these lessons offered by the Park & Rec. Department when Liam went along with her one day. He wanted to take them so we signed him up. Loren, not liking to try new things, decided to pass on lessons. Me and the 4 boys headed to Lodi for Liam's 1st lessons. He had a wonderful time and even won a 'game ball' for winning the first game called 'jail'. He now proudly displays the ball in his room (we were reminded by him not to use this ball). The 2 instructors were so friendly and let Loren and Landon play a bit with the group. Now Landon is begging for the 'tiny tot' tennis lessons that are just prior to Liam's lessons. Those instructors did fabulous 'roping' us in...now I will be signing kid #2 up for lessons! We will probably only be able to take the lessons for a month considering soccer will be occupying our evenings here shortly. Linda stole Liam for the night after lessons to have a sleepover with Cody with the agreement to 'deliver' them both the next morning for Day 3 of Camp Kidzone. :D Then it was home to cook dinner and wash and fold more laundry! After dinner we welcomed Loren's good friend, Chris, over for a sleepover so that we could take him to Camp Kidzone the following morning. They enjoyed a night of Wii gaming before bedtime. I felt like I played the game of 'musical kids' today, switching them out throughout the day. hee hee
