Grow your own, can`t beat it. We`ve got potatoes, tomatoes, beans and these lovely babies......courgettes

Went into the garden at 4.30 this morning to put mealworms out for the blackbirds and another of the courgette flowers had opened up looking like a stranded starfish. The flower closes up after this and the courgettes starts to grow.
The flowers are also edible, you can stuff them with soft cheese, basil and pine nuts and steam them or you can cover them with a tempura batter and deep fry them.
