Umbelliferae

gblrps and I have been commenting back and forward about the use of fill-in flash.

Well! Here we are, The Lakeland Rose Show, The Man, Chippy and I set out our marquee and at 8.30pm were walking along the canal tow path on the darkest, dullest summer's evening imaginable! I've been photographing umbelliferae a lot recently for the wonderful opportunity they give to practice DoF. Nothing fancy tonight though, the poor light made me pop up the flash and see what happened.

So not a lot of change here then! When I'm at home I love to do flowers against a black background and here I've managed it without the clothes airer and the black cloth. Good job, I'd have looked a bit daft carting that stuff along the canal side!

The Show is set to be a wet one. I'm telling myself we need rain.
