Floating Village

Today we went to the floating village of Chong Kneas, which as the name suggests, is a floating village situated on the Tonlé Sap - SE Asia's largest fresh water lake.

We had wanted to go to Kampong Phluk; a village on stilts on the lake which is near a flooded forest. Unfortunately, as rainy season hasn't started yet, the water level is too low for it to be reached by boat.

The floating village was interesting, maybe a bit of a rip off at $20 for the boat ride out. Glad we went none the less, although I def want to come back during rainy season.
