A big step for green nettle weevil

On the way back from the next town I pulled the car over in a rather scluded spot to shoot the landscape, but noticed some beautiful pinecones still attached to their branch on the woody floor. I duly collected them, hopped back into the car, only to see this fellow wandring along the dashboard. He must have been living in the cones.

A short while later I noticed this fellow wandering around the dashboard and windscreen, so I collected him carefully.

He seemed in a real rush to get away so the shot isn't as good as I had hoped, but here he is, little weevil.
