Views from the free seats - the walls
The sound of the race commentary drifted in through my kitchen window this evening so I thought I'd take a wander down to check out the general race goings on.
In all the time I've lived here it's the first time that I've seen the course in full race day flow. What a great atmosphere, there were families and tourists and tons of people with picnics milling around in the cheap seats below the walls. It only costs £7 to go in the public area and if I'd taken some money with me I would have gone in. I'm going to make sure we go with a picnic to the next evening race meet. It's an absolute mecca for people watching.
