Parade Day

Marching bands, pipers, vintage cars, rodeo princesses ... and the stench of horse manure.

You have to get there early to get a spot.

The Calgary Stampede got underway today with the Stampede Parade.

An estimated 350,000 lined the streets downtown to watch.

I nipped out to take a few shots of the watchers.

Then back to the office to download some Garth Brooks.
Seems appropriate today.
