Since June 22, a group of people has camped out on this divider of a major Berkeley road to protest the drastic cuts to In-Home Supportive Services proposed by California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. According to the group, these cuts along with other social service cuts will force thousands of disabled people and seniors into institutions. The group plans to continue their encampment until "a just and fair budget is signed."
