Beads

I had more catch up time with the Cairo boy over tea this morning before we went our separate ways before regrouping for the Mosque lunch with six other dedicated curry eaters.
There was much hilarity and manning of cameras as the infamous beanie hat and sunglasses were passed around to be worn by each and every person. The flying goggles were worn only by the ex pat.

The twelve ginger beer bottles were also a magnet for the lenses and I admit to being rather drawn to committing them to pixels myself. They looked very fetching when laid out in a row.

It will be interesting to see the resulting blips from those present, although I decided in the end not to compete with the big boys and have blipped instead my new beads.

They are fastened with ribbon at the back of my neck. If I tie a bow for ease of removal, they slip off by themselves in unlikely and unwanted places. And so yesterday I tied a knot in the ribbon which meant they stayed on my neck all day, but it took me 15 minutes with a mirror late last night to untie them. That's really not what you want at bedtime.

I am blipping this in the lull before the storm of returnees arrives back at the castle.
There will be people sleeping in practically every room, amongst cardboard boxes if necessary, but it will be first time that daughter #3 and son #2 have seen each other in a year, so there will be a lot for them to catch up on.
I shall be listening at the keyhole.
