Toots in Solitude

Bullock

I stopped my car on a quiet back road next to a field of sleeping bullocks. Out I got, and with my camera, viewed them in the distance as they all lay there in the sun, a multi coloured gang. Up one limbered onto his legs and pretty soon they all very reluctantly shifted their bodies into standing mode. Click, click said my camera. One advanced, then two, and yes soon the whole herd was scuttling in my direction with great curiosity in their eyes. No, No, I said, Joe said animals were definitely excluded from Life-Turns so stop your gaiting legs. I turned back to my car, I had many things to accomplish in the day, and as I looked back to wave Bye Bye they were all in a perfect line, heads poking as close to the fence as they could. I wish they could talk.
