Tales from the Old Mills

Menace-Corthy

Spent the day again in Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford.

As soon as hoOmanly possible, I skived off to McDonalds.

Not, I stress, the Golden Arches, but an aforementioned timewarped Den of Curious Hospitality, (an art in which the YellowBellies seem to excell.....)

Greeted by the redoubtable Phyllis, whose position in the last few months, since our last encounter, has only varied crabways, away from the antediluvian paraffin heater to the warmer shores of the barren, flyspackled and sunsucking window facing the street.

Part 2;

Ensconced in the Castle Inn a little later, this Officer complimented my colleagues small dog.

To be honest, I thought he was going to eat it, but then thought.....

"I have forgotten more about being a reprobate and gink-haired freak than this muppet will ever know, so...."

And so- I met, and blonded with, a genuine Capitalist Career Punk, my new buddy, Eoin.

We swopped psychobilly psychodramas, tales of the legendary Deco (of Paranoid Visions fame), and nobody ate anybody.

I might just move to Enniscorthy....
