I had the best of it I think

I went down to the seafront while the England match was on and wandered around watching seagulls and spotting jellyfish and snapping photos.

This is the view through the sea end of Blackpool's North Pier.

I can tell you that while its a wonderful thing to paddle at the water's edge, never attempt to walk under the pier to the next bit of beach! I got horribly muddy and had to wash off quickly.

I can recommend going to the beach while the football is on, it was really peaceful, just me and the seagulls and the falling tide for almost 2 hours.
