Mille Fiore

A thousand flowers, packed into a jar of delicious local honey.

A colleague of mine, along with his daughter, is a keen bee-keeper. He has three hives and many tales about them.

The most interesting story was of how deliciously sweet and smooth the last harvest of honey is. Light in colour, delicate in flavour, the scent of the flowers can almost be smelled in the jar of honey.

He brought a few into the office, so I made off with a sample, bought bread from the local supermarket at lunch and shared the experience with my colleagues.
