I was expecting his little brother for dinner...

I bought a couple of those 'grow your own mushroom' kits - common & chestnut varieties.

I notced the first tiny mushroom form at the weekend, yesterday afternoon it was around large button size so I decided to have it for dinner tonight.

I got home from work today & the lid of the mushroom container was lifted on one side. When I took a look I saw this monster. Just as well I only have the one as this is more than enough for me.

p.s. the tomatos are home grown cherry size and I have Calabrese fresh from the garden too, to go with the mixed fish & some chopped bacon. It's baking in the oven as I type. Yum!
