Why?

These are the steps of the old HSBC bank on Granby Street. The bank has been closed for some time now, there is a padlocked gate so you cannot get onto the steps without a precarious bit of climbing so why would somebody want to climb over and lay out a pair of jeans, why not just chuck them over.
Wonder if they will still be there tomorrow??
