Man and bird

This bronze sculpture of St. Francis is just a block from my apartment, and I have photographed it many times over the past two and a half years, here for example, a year ago. But this afternoon, strolling around shooting things with my new lens, I got the late afternoon reflection of red brick on bronze, and the warm glow of animal and man--the hand on the bird, the bird nuzzled up to the man--was particularly pleasing to my eyes.
