Sky is the Limit
"The Sky is the limit". This is how I wish to describe my 30 day free trial with Light Room. I mean, when my 30 days are over, how will I ever be able to go back. It would be like walking backwards when all of my momentum wants to push forward. Sounds a bit dramatic but not if you use light room. If you use light room, you know exactly what I am talking about.
I have been really into portrait photography lately. Portraits of people who have a tale to tell. Everyone has a story. A reason, a focus, a passion, a zest for life. In some sort of a way, we all have something to share that could benefit an other. So it is my quest this summer to interview people. Portrait interviews. Names and how they are related to my life will be omitted. I just want to get down to the meat of the interview. The wisdom. The humor. The inspiration. I want to interview them as if they are a stranger to me. So that I can walk away learning something new.
I had a ball interviewing some special people over the weekend. I know them so extremely well yet after the interviews I realized, not well enough. Because when do we ever sit down next to someone and say, "hey, tell me your life story". If we did that a little more often, we would gain a deeper sense of connection and understanding.
My previous goal was bridges. I think that I am bridged out for a bit. So I will move my focus to people. Maybe even a nice stranger? Oh I don't know, it would have to be perfect circumstances as I tend to be overly cautious.
No portrait for today. Some days I'll be able to find someone to interview and other days not. I will only interview if my interviewee is excited about doing it. I don't want to start getting buggy with my people! And I can't be that girl at the coffee shop who strikes up random conversation either. I'll come up with a plan.
My new passion is photojournalism. I am approaching the 1 year anniversary of owning my fancy camera.....and look how much it has changed my life thus far. Photography has been a daily creative outlet for me.
And thanks to all of you for reading, commenting and supporting me along the way.
