Thistle Down

By Ethel

My Land

Your land and my land,
And other lands afar.
Are striving in good fellowship,
To blot the whims of war.

Your land and my land,
Has hope...with banners furled.
That men may learn to ever live,
As one...within a world.

Your land and my land,
Holds proudly to her name.
Not how...we win or loose,
But how we play the game.

Your land and my land,
Will seek for all that's good.
For kinder acts and nobler deeds,
That brings forth brotherhood.

Your land and my land,
Will glimpse the rising hill.
We'll clasp our hands in friendship,
To dance life's gay quadrille.

Your land and my land,
Will make what might have been.
We'll bring about a lasting peace,
And magnify..."Good Will to Men".
