Fireworks

C and I had what was an event-full day for us -- church in the morning and two parties in the afternoon and evening.

The first party was at the home of one of my pickleball/petanque friends. From there we went to a fundraising party for Bellingham mayor Dan Pike's re-election campaign, in the historic Bellingham Herald Building (no longer owned by The Bellingham Herald). After the food and drinks (the beer was from Boundary Bay Brewery) and speeches, we donned our winter clothing and ventured out onto the roof to watch the July 4th fireworks display.

Taking photos of fireworks wasn't as easy as I hoped it would be. My success ratio was very low. I should have done my homework beforehand.

It started raining (again) just as the display ended.
