Lanercost Arch

This morning we took down our marquee from the Lanercost showfield with mixed feelings about whether we could trust the organiser to do it much better next year. It is a beautiful area and a perfect field and this important historic building beside it. It was founded in 1166 and built from stones taken from Hadrian's Wall. Sounds a bit vandalistic but, I suppose in those days, they would never have thought the wall would be classed as a national treasure.

So, a few days back at the shop then off to The Rose Show next weekend! That's one we've done many times before!
