A bugs life

Went out today with the intention of capturing some shots of the area were staying at on holiday, but as we went out the door my kids spotted this cricket on a bench next to the door.

Really appropriate as last night and this morning about the only sound we could hear outside was crickets.

Managed to get a lot of shots in before it moved. Liked the depth of field on this shot although not as sharp as some of the other ones i took where DOF wasn't as good (in my limited experience as a learner!).

I absolutely love the canon 50mm lens!
