Nectar of the Gods

Pancakes and Maple (flavoured) syrup. I couldn't understand why I would use maple (flavoured) syrup rather than the real thing, in a glass bottle, from Canada. "Oh, this must be from my Mum's place".
"Can't be," The Lovely Ange countered. "we cleaned her place out ages ago"
In 2007 as I recall. Which happens to be the expiry date on this particular bottle. Yep, this is from Mum's place.

Mind you, we're still using up Glad-wrap, bottles of woolen wash detergent and window cleaner. Mum did believe in being prepared.

Roll on the pancakes, I say. There's at least half a bottle of the imitation rubbish maple (flavoured) syrup before we get onto the good stuff. Or rather, make a good reason to buy some. Pancakes was all we needed this evening thanks to a huge lunch down at Castle Rock Cafe. Yum.
