Honey Fungus

A small matter of a tennis match plus the acquisition of a few 'brownie points' for a future weekend trip to Sweden for raptor migration has meant a hurried blip today.
Fungi are the 'third kingdom' and are an integral part of the natural cycle. Amongst other things, trees and hence woodland relies on them.
This particular fungus is particularly damaging in gardens because it attacks dead and alive trees.
