made it at last!

For the last ten years I've been trying to get up to the Seealpsee and, for various reasons (ill/injured children, freak snow storms...) we have never got up here. Today we made it at last - it's a pretty steep climb, the littles were climbing steps that were nearly as big as them - but it's really worth it. When we reached our destination the clouds rolled in, hiding the Säntis and dropping some welcome, cooling rain on us while we ate our picnic perched on the most amazingly formed rocks. If you look carefully, you will see there is still snow a bit higher up. Just as we finished the picnic, the clouds rolled back and the sun came out - enter icecream stage right, a nice cup of coffee for the grown ups and then the long walk back down the hill again :-)
