Sunny winters days
Our Strelitzias usually start to flower round about February each year.
Last week the first flower opened and since then a few more. I think the drought is having a much more severe effect than we think.
The dam level has risen to 30%, but since no more rain is falling - it will soon begin to drop again. The gardens once more are in need of water.
This is a drop of nectar oozing from one of the strelitzia flowers and since it is slightly sticky, it has a bit of 'stretch'!
