Wind Getting Up...
At Inverie we discussed our idea of moving on to Mallaig. No, no, no. It was unanimous. Avoid it, said our fellow yachties (how quickly I've become one - yaas!) - head further south to Arisaig instead - it's also on the train line, so no problem for Lawrie to jump ship. Seemed a good idea and we sped down the coast and into the difficult (but well marked) entrance to Loch nan Ceall and Arisaig.
No moorings available! Everyone had anticipated bad weather (of which there was no sign) and they have hee haw visitor moorings anyway. So, we had to seek out the old anchorage at the SE corner and anchor up. Lawrie wasn't happy leaving me and the weather did begin to change (above) - you can't hear the wind begin to whistle but the sun began to disappear and the wind grew in strength as predicted. That's Rum in the distance behind the boats. Being a chancer, and being fearful of a dragging anchor, we moved up close inshore and tied up to an unused mooring and that gave us some confidence of surviving the night in position. Fekk, it howled and blew. Can't say we slept well.
