the joys of nature

I thought that I would try a flower blip (they seem very popular and of such a good standard!) and this is my attempt. I took this photo at my friend's allotment and also came home with gooseberries and rhubarb.

However I like this image as it represents a wonderful summer's day and here in the North I think one appreciates them more than most...

Tonight after a day in the sun we enjoyed potatoes from our garden, roast chicken stuffed with our herbs, salad from our salad buckets and of course a gooseberry and rhubarb crumble.

So what if it is forecast for rain tomorrow!
