New Growth

Frosty morning followed by a beautiful blue sky and sun.  

It was good to feel the sun on my back as I wandered round the garden with my hot cuppa.  I hadn't been in the garden all week and I was surprised by the changes.  Spring bulbs are up and some with buds, Camellia and Rhododendron trees all have lovely big buds almost bursting, won't be long and colour will return. The birds were chirping and flitting from branch to branch.

This is a Rhododendron bud, I liked the nice rich pink with the white edging and the little hairs. When in flower the fragrance fills the air, it doesn't last for long but is a real treat.
